It's December!

So another weekend passed, with the first real snowfall of the year during the night between Saturday and Sunday. Chris and I went out to a bar called "not my dog" on Friday to see a band I was kind of curious about. It turned out to be the smallest bar ever witnessed in the history of bars, the band was ok, but there was a very strange character in the room who started talking to us and creeped us out enough for us to leave. We headed to the Gladstone hotel to watch some awful karaoke instead..

On Saturday we rented two movies, Futurama and Yellow Submarine (I really wanted to see it again), so we saw the first one on Saturday, and the second ended our Sunday. Sunday was otherwise spent walking west to Chris' old neighbourhood, where we ate lunch at an old familiar restaurant, picked up Nolan, and walked back home. It took about four hours. We were lucky enough to just make it back home before the start of a very wet rainstorm, which destroyed all the snow that had been left on the ground, so it's pretty bare now again, except for the enormous piles of snow surrounding the sidewalks, making it pretty hard to cross the street.

Also, it is now very slippery, and I took a fall today, landing on the eggs I had just bought and was carrying in my shoulder bag. Luckily, only one broke. The eggs were 20 cents cheaper in the store further away from home, and I crushed that 20 cents right away.

Sorry this post is not very coherent, it is late and I just got the hickups. I drank water too fast or something. Or perhaps it is the fault of the vegetable stew I made earlier.
