Whiteout
Okay.... I have mentioned snowstorms previously in this blog... But nothing has come close to what we are seeing today. This storm originated in Texas, killed 17 on the way north, covered branches in Oklahoma with 2,5 cm of ice, and hit Toronto last night. It's a complete whiteout, and there is also lightning! I was awoken by the sound of thunder this morning. It's amazing. From the inside. We're heading out in a bit, to test how long it's bearable, and if it is at all possible to walk around in the wind...
Last night we went out for food, and as we were walking home, the storm hit, and we had trouble getting to our door. We were planning on going out to a cd-release, but we changed our minds due to the weather (and general fatigue), so we spent the night inside and made corn muffins and soup instead. That turned out to be a great idea, cause the food was more than excellent.
I hope to get some good pictures of the storm when we go out, but it's just so white, it might be impossible.
